Control room

The Verenigde Bootlieden BV control room is uniquely situated at the heart of the Terneuzen lock complex. The supervisor has a clear view of all activities in the locks, port and the surrounding waterways from a tower several metres high, the nerve centre of our organisation.

The control room has been fitted with the most up-to-date equipment in the field of telecommunication and data processing. This keeps us fully informed of all shipping movements in and around Terneuzen.
The control room keeps a close watch on the planning of boatmen, helmsmen and other staff. The advantage to you is obvious; no unnecessary waiting time, but a rapid, safe and efficient transaction.

If required, information about the vessel will be passed on to an agent, shipping company, government service or other parties involved.

Obviously in the case of an unforeseen calamity, our supervisor will immediately undertake all the necessary actions.
